Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has rubbished reports that claimed no club wants him, and confirme Saudi Arabia offer.

Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed that he received a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, and banished reports that no club wanted him.

Man United resigned Ronaldo from Juventus last season to boost their chances of winning silverware under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but the opposite happened.

The Red Devils finished in the 6th position and went trophyless and as a result, Ronaldo wanted out in a bid to play for the Champions League.

He was linked with several clubs in the Champions League but none signed him, with many outlets claiming that none of the Europe’s elites wanted his services.

Bayern Munich regularly distanced themselves off Ronaldo. Marseille, Napoli and other UCL clubs ruled themselves out of the race for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner. That gave the impression that no European top sides wanted his signature.

However, towards the end of the summer transfer market, a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia came for him but the Portuguese star reportedly declined the deal.

The 37-year-old has confirmed the report to be true and explained why he didn’t leave United for the Saudi Arabia side.

On the Saudi Arabia offer, Cristiano Ronaldo said: “It’s true, yes. But what the press keeping say, the garbage, is that nobody wants me, which is completely wrong — but they continue to repeat that nobody wants Cristiano.

“What they say the last three months is completely garbage and wrong. They say that they offer me this and that, and many presidents and directors speak about, they reject me. It’s a complete lie, they lie.

“I have many clubs, not many, a few clubs that they want me to sign and I didn’t go because I feel comfortable here [Manchester United]. This is the truth.”

On rejecting the Saudi Arabia contract that could have seen him earn around €350m, he said: “It’s hard. But in the same way, I thought that I was happy here; that I still capable to score goals… I still believe that I can score many goals and help the team because I still believe that I’m still good.”
