AFS Burn Camp fundraiser

West Allis bar and night club The Crimson Club will host a fundraiser — sponsored by the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin (PFFW) Charitable Foundations — to raise funds for the Alliance for Fire Safety Summer Camp for Burn Injured Youth, a camp that “empowers young burn survivors to embrace their scars and develop confidence to shine on in the face of their adversity.”

The Crimson Club is owned and operated by Jeff Krueger — a Milwaukee firefighter — and his wife Jennifer Krueger — a registered nurse. As professionals in both emergency and health services — as well as parents — the AFS Burn Camp is a charitable organization the Kruegers strongly about support.

“We are hopeful for a good turn out from firefighters from all over southeast Wisconsin,” said Jeff Krueger.

The fundraiser takes place on both Jan. 17 and 18 from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. The Crimson Club is located at 7211 W. Greenfield Ave., West Allis. The event is for patrons over 21 years old and is open to the public.

The Alliance for Fire Safety Summer Camp for Burn Injured Youth is held in August of each year at Camp Timber-lee in East Troy, Wisconsin. Young burn survivors ages 7 to 17 can participate in all types of activities including swimming, fishing, archery, horseback riding, rock climbing and more. Visiting organizations also provide additional activities throughout the week.
