Renaissance Theaterworks - Bailey Wegner

Renaissance Theaterworks (RTW) announced the addition of Bailey Wegner to the staff as the company’s new production manager. Wegner is a recent graduate of UW-Milwaukee’s Theatre Department, and joins the RTW staff with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Theatre, with a Stage Management focus.

“I’m thrilled to be joining on as production manager and to soak in the camaraderie the company models so well,” said Wegner. “I look forward to being a part of the magic each artist puts forth to bring a production to life.”

“Renaissance Theaterworks is dedicated to promoting the work of women theater artists both onstage and off, at all point in their careers,” said Suzan Fete, co-founder and artistic director. “As with many other professional women theater artists in Milwaukee, we are humbled to provide this opportunity to Bailey. She is bright, engaging and a talented young woman. We are so lucky to get her.”

Wegner served as RTW’s stage manager for the Fourth Annual Br!NK New Play Festival in September, and will be stage managing RTW’s 2nd Annual Groundworks production of BLISS (or Emily Post is Dead!) by Jami Brandli in December. In addition to stage management work at UW-Milwaukee and with RTW, Wegner has also worked with Milwaukee Chamber Theatre as stage manager for their Young Playwrights Festival and assistant stage manager for The Few.

“I never expected to be honored with this opportunity so early in my career,” Wegner said. “My skills as a theatre maker will be greatly elevated by the passionate and brilliant women already at Renaissance, and by the many talented artists our company teams with.”
