Coco Gauff: I don’t think my life will change if I win Roland Garros

Coco Gauff answered how her life would change if she won Roland Garros. She will play against Iga Swiatek in the final.

“Iga is going undefeated, and I basically have nothing to lose. On paper, she’s the clear favourite. But I will play freely and try to show my best tennis. I think anything can happen in a Grand Slam final.

I have to take every chance I’m given. There won’t be many of them. Iga is good at changing the direction of her shots and hitting the corners well, knocking her opponents off the court. She’s doing winners, a lot of winners.

I think you have to be aggressive, but you have to be patient at the right moments. We played this year in Miami and I had a lot of penalties in that match. This time we have to try to avoid that.

I don’t think my life will change if I win Roland Garros. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but the people who love me will love me whether I pick up a trophy or not. Of course, if I win, it will get the attention of a lot of people around the world, but overall my life is unlikely to change.” – said Gauff.
