Carabao Cup fourth round draw: Manchester United vs Burnley
It’s official. Manchester United will face Burnley in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
Man United booked their place in the fourth round after they came from behind to beat Aston Villa 4-2 at Old Trafford on Thursday night.
Ollie Watkins scored the opener early in the second half but Anthony Martial pulled it back in a matter of seconds.
The visitors restored their lead through an own goal from Diogo Dalot but three goals from Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay turned the game around in favour of Manchester United.
The Red Devils will continue their cup campaign when they host Burnley.
The Clarets reached the fourth round of the cup after they beat Crawley Town 3-1 on Tuesday night.
Erik ten Hag will come up against Vincent Kompany, former Manchester City defender, who is the current coach of the Burnley first team.
The Clarets are at the summit in the Championship and are in the right direction in their bid to return to the top-flight next season.
Elsewhere, Liverpool will take a trip to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City in the fourth round.
Newcastle United will host Bournemouth, while Southampton will welcome Lincoln City.
