Xhaka’s current contract at the Emirates Stadium is set to expire in the summer of 2024.
According to Romano, it appears that Xhaka will be leaving Arsenal at the end of the season, as there have been no discussions or plans for a new contract.
Bundesliga team Bayer Leverkusen are currently engaged in talks to sign the midfielder, and Romano suggests that personal terms are nearly finalized. A deal would keep Xhaka at Leverkusen until 2027.
