England have only beaten Germany in a friendly match, but it didn’t stop punters from betting on their win in France, which has made bookies cut the odds on this.

Judging from the odds from William Hill, the Three Lions have better chances (9/1or 10.0) to win the Euros than Belgium, Italy and Portugal.

England are also given 1.83 odds to win group B, 3.00 to reach semi-finals and 5.50 to play in the final. Harry Kane is 17.0 to become the top goalscorer.

“After all those years of hurt Roy’s boys finally got fans excited about a tournament. Patriotic punters have already piled into their odds and we’ve been left with no option but to slash their chances of success into 9/1,” said Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes.
